Ethan looked at his watch for the third time. He was starting to feel as if meeting his stalker was a bad idea. After all, the whole reason that he was even bothering to look for this girl was that he thought she was dangerous. He still did. Yet here he was sitting on a park bench in the middle of Harmony Memorial Park waiting to talk to a woman who had dumped practically every grotesque thing imaginable on his head. He looked around and saw the park was pretty crowded and this made him feel better. Frank had approached him earlier today about having the police waiting for the girl when she arrived, but Ethan shot the idea down cold. He wasn't sure what Theresa had told this wacko to get her to agree to the meeting, but he was sure that it had to include a stay out of jail pass. He told Frank that he would not make Theresa look bad by compromising her word. Frank of course could not understand that. He really had it in for Theresa. Ethan was kind of happy that Frank would be leaving soon. He didn't like the way Frank treated Theresa. That was another reason that he agreed to this meeting, although he would never admit it to anyone, resolving this whole stalker business would finally shut Frank up an get him off of Theresa's back.

Theresa was more nervous then she had ever been in her life. For the first time sense this whole stalker business started she was afraid that things might not go her way. Still she had finally started making head way with Ethan. he genuinely liked her. Sure he thought she was a mousy, little thing, but that made their relationship all the more special. He liked her for who she was on the inside not for how she looked. It was the real thing and this was the first step in a plan that would be the only way that she could keep him in her life.
"Well here goes everything," said Theresa smoothing out her blue flower dress and patting down her hair.

Ethan turned around on the park bench and noticed Theresa coming toward her.
"I forgot how beautiful she was." said Ethan watching Theresa coming towards her. "Yeah," he thought rebuking himself. "Beautiful for a psychopath."
Theresa stopped in front of Ethan and made eye contact. She was afraid to speak because she was scared that he would recognize her voice.
Ethan noticed that Theresa looked nervous. "So you're the little lady that's been stalking me?"
asked Ethan half serious.
"No," said Theresa almost desperately. "I wasn't stalking you, you have to believe me."
"Why should I?" asked Ethan getting up and facing her " I mean you really don't expect me to believe that you spilled all of those disgusting things on me on accident do you?"
"But they were all accidents..." said Theresa still trying to explain.
"The shakes," interrupted Ethan as his face hardened in anger, "the barbecue sauce, the paint, those disgusting fish guts."
"I didn't mean it and I was not following you around. I worked at all those places, you always came to me not vice versa remember?"
Theresa saw Ethan's expression soften.
"What?" asked Ethan a little confused.
"Remember when I first spilt that paint on you? We were at the carnival. I didn't even know who you were then. Do you remember that I tried to apologize then you got mad at me and we argued a little. If I had done it on purpose don't you think I would have run away?" asked Theresa she realized that if she could break every incident down logically she just might be able to get Ethan to understand that she really wasn't stalking him. That all the incidents really were accidents.
"Remember the burger shack?" I was a waitress there. I was working. I had no idea that you were coming in. How could I? I mean do you think that I got a job there just for a day to stalk you?"
"No I guess that wouldn't make sense," said Ethan sitting down, but not taking his eyes off of Theresa.
"And the same for the canary." said Theresa. She was getting threw to him, she could just feel it.
"You worked there," said Ethan. "You were cutting fish."
"Exactly," said Theresa letting out a little sigh of relief and sitting down next to Ethan. "I had know idea that you would be there that night, in fact, after all of my accidents I was horrified to see you there."
Ethan played all of the incidents over in his head again and realized the truth in what Theresa was saying. "Could it be?" he thought. "Could all of those incidents be accidents?
"All those explanations were well and good, but that doesn't explain why you were on my estate." said Ethan remembering the night he caught Theresa on the grounds.
Theresa looked at Ethan intensely now was her time to come clean. She would just tell him that she was at the estate because she was Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. She opened her mouth to say the words but she couldn't. It was way to soon.
"What if he doesn't understand," thought Theresa. "I can't risk it. I have to wait until it was time."
"I was there to see you," she lied. "To explain everything to you."
"If that's true then why didn't you say anything?" asked Ethan.
"I was trying to, but you were to busy dragging me in the house and trying to call the police to hear me."
"I was angry, because I thought that you had broken onto my estate," he said defensively.
"I know, but I kept trying to tell you that I wasn't stalking you, I even agreed to stay out of your way for ever, but when you threaten to call the police I panicked.."
"Is that why you moved to South America?" said Ethan interrupting her. "Theresa told me that your parents took you away.
"Theresa," said Theresa nodding yes. "She wants this to be over as much as you do. That's why I decided to risk seeing you to try to explain again. I'm not a stalker. I'm just a girl who happens to be very clumsy."
Ethan took a moment to soak in what Theresa was saying. He wanted to believe her, he really did. "Maybe I can trust her," he thought.
"I believe you." said Ethan realizing at that moment that he actually did.
"Really?" asked Theresa, her face brightening.
"Yes," said Ethan smiling himself.
"Oh thank you Ethan," said Theresa, the relief evident on her face. "I can't tell you what that means to me."
"Well, what you told me does make sense. Besides you're a friend of Theresa and she says that you're harmless..."
"And you believe her," interrupted Theresa. "You like her don't you?" asked Theresa realizing for the first time just how fond Ethan had become of her other self.
"Yes I do." said Ethan smiling at the thought of her. "She's the kind of person that you can't help but to like. She's so sweet, a caring, and she listens to me, you know, really listens, I mean to everybody else I'm Ethan Crane, heir to the Crane fortune, but Theresa really sees me for me, I can be myself with her. Sending time with her is like..." Ethan turned to face Theresa. She was staring at him intensely and he realized how mesmerizing her eyes were. Once again he thought about how beautiful she was. Thinking about Theresa and being mesmerized by this girl was suddenly making him nervous. He had to get back to Gwen.
"I have to go," said Ethan jumping up."
"But we're not finished." said Theresa trying hard not to cry. Ethan loved her. He really loved her. She could see it in the way he spoke about her just now. She had to tell him the truth.
"I can't," said Ethan already walking a way." I'm glad we talked. "I won't be looking for you anymore."
And with that he was gone.

Whitney was trying really hard to concentrate on hitting the ball in front of her. Of course, thoughts of Theresa meeting Ethan, possibly coming clean, and implicating her in her little scheme was not making it easy. "If only Theresa would have been honest from the start," thought Whitney "Then none of this would be happening now. Of course Theresa wasn't the only person on Whitney's mind. As much as she was trying to deny it to herself and Theresa. Frank Lomax had definitely got to her. She just wished that she had meet Frank under different circumstances.
"Oh Whitney," said Whitney aloud hitting another ball," forget about Frank Lomax."
"Did I hear my name?" asked a voice from behind her. Whitney turned around and saw Frank standing there in his suit and tie.
"Frank what are you doing here?" asked Whitney secretly pleased to see him.
"Well," said Frank circling around Whitney. " You and I had a date remember?"
"A date?" asked Whitney somewhat amused. "No I think I would remember that."
"Well," said Frank moving closer. "Let me remind you. It was the day that I had my arms around you like this," said Frank wrapping his arms around Whitney from the back.
Whitney nervously threw Frank's arms away from her. "What do you think you're doing?" she asked still affected by their recent contact.
"Wow," said Frank a little amused by her reaction. "You save somebody's life and they forget so quickly."
Whitney gave Frank a blank stare.
"The pizza place. You almost choked.."
"Oh," said Whitney remembering that night when she had to pretend to choke in order to give Theresa time to hide from Frank. " I remember. You wanted me to give you tennis lessons."
"Yep." said Frank smiling.
"You're really not planning on playing Tennis in a suit and tie are you?"
"Well actually, no I'm not here for our date."
"The why are you here?" asked Whitney curiously.
"I'm here to tell you that its over. I know who the stalker is." said Frank triumphantly.
Whitney suddenly felt sick. Could it be. Was Theresa actually busted?

Gwen had never been as happy to see Ethan as she was when she saw him come into the Crane living room. She had been sitting on the coach for what seemed like an eternity waiting for Ethan to tell her how his meeting with the stalker went. She jumped up immediately when she saw him and threw her arms around him.
"How did it go?" she asked nervously."
"Good," said Ethan leading her back to the couch. "We talked and we cleared the air."
"So its over?" asked Gwen hopefully.
"Yep," said Ethan smiling. "Its finally over."
"Thank God," said Gwen letting out an audible sound of relief. "What did she say?"
Ethan had a flashback to his meeting with the girl and remembered how her eyes effected him. Those feelings and the feelings that he was beginning to realize he was having for Theresa was making him uncomfortable.
"Can we talk about this later," he said giving Gwen a weak smile.
"Sure," she said. " Lets talk about something else. Like our trip to Hawaii."
"Hawaii?" asked Ethan " I don't remember a trip to Hawaii."
"Well," said Gwen moving closer. "That's because I just decided we should go. You know. It would be a great way to put all of this stalker business behind us." And to distance us from Theresa.
"That sounds great," said Ethan kissing Gwen. He and Gwen were growing apart. He could feel it and he knew that it was his fault. They had been together to long for him to be acting like this. He would try harder. "Is Theresa here?"
Gwen's smile immediately faded and he knew that bringing up Theresa's name was stupid.
"So much for trying harder," he said rebuking himself.
"No," said Gwen trying to control her anger. "Why?"
"I just wanted tell how it went."
"You want to tell her, but you don't want to tell me?" asked Gwen a little hurt.
"No, I mean she did set up the meeting. I just wanted to thank her. I went by her house earlier.."
"You went by her house," she Gwen raising her voice and getting up from the couch.
"Yeah," said Ethan getting up to face her, " I just..." Ethan stopped mid sentence. Why did he do that anyway. What was going on with him. He was hurting Gwen he could see it, but the problem was he couldn't stop feeling this thing for Theresa and it scared him more then anything ever scared him before.

Frank looked at Whitney from the bushes. He had walked away from Whitney leaving her with the impression that he knew who the stalker was. He knew that he had convinced her. She tried hard to get him to name names, but he wouldn't. He could tell that she was desperate, but he stood his ground. He felt bad for her, and he felt bad for having to lie to her, but it was for the best. He had a job to do. Besides the sooner he exposed the stalker and her little friend Theresa Lopez-Fitgerald the better off Whitney would be.

Whitney couldn't stop pacing. "Well the hell was Theresa?" she thought. It had been nearly an hour since she left that urgent message on the machine. Just then Theresa showed up.
"Theresa, what the hell took you so long?" asked Whitney clearly frazzled. " Calm down Whitney what is the matter with you? I was taking a walk. You'll never guess what happened. Ethan believes that I'm not stalking him."
"Really," said Whitney very controlled.
"And guess what else?He loves me Whitney," said Theresa barely able to believe the words herself.
"Did he say that?" asked Whitney a little shocked. If Ethan really did love Theresa then this whole thing was going to be worst then she imagined.
"No, not in those words, but the way he talked about his friend Theresa, It was love Whitney," said Theresa remembering how Ethan's face lit up when he was talking about her. I have to tell him."
"You mean you didn't tell him!!" said Whitney clearly panicked.
"No," said Theresa starting to worry. " I was waiting for the right time."
"Well your time us up Theresa," said Whitney. Frank Lomax was just here. He figured out everything he knows that you are the stalker. "
"What?!! How?!!" asked Theresa, the color draining from her face.
"I don't know how," said Whitney equally panicked.
"Where is he now?" asked Theresa hysterically.
"My guess. At the Crane mansion telling Ethan Crane everything he knows."
"Oh no," said Theresa taking off I have to tell him my side of things. I have to explain before its to late."
"Theresa!! " yelled Whitney running after her friend.

Frank Lomax could hardly believe his ears. He was shocked to see the stalker talking to Whitney like they were old friends. He figured that the girl was a friend of Theresa and Whitney was just covering for them. He couldn't hear what they were saying. But he did hear Whitney call after the stalker. "Theresa Lopez-Fitgerald is the stalker" he said to himself. All of a sudden everything made sense. Why Theresa was lying and why Whitney was going along with it. She was just trying to protect her best friend. Well Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald was going down for this. He had to warn Ethan.

Gwen and Ethan just stared at each other for a while. Both were scared to talk because they were afraid of what they might say. It was a first for them, but Gwen feared that it wouldn't be the last time they were like this with each other. She was loosing him. She had to find a way to get rid of Theresa. She was the problem.
"What is going on Ethan," asked Gwen near tears. "Is there something you want to tell me?"
"Ethan looked at Gwen with love. How could he tell her that he still loved her, but that he was falling in love with somebody else. So much so that he might give her up to try to make a go at it with Theresa. How do you tell someone that you've loved forever that you'd rather be with a relative stranger?
"Gwen.. I.." Ethan's sentence was interrupted by Gwen's cell phone.
"Hold on," said Gwen pushing the talk button in frustration. "What?" she answered harshly,"
"Ms Hotchkiss?" asked Frank a little put off by how she answered."
:Oh hi," said Gwen brightening up a little when she heard who it was. "This is really not a good time."
"I'm sorry to bother you Ms. Hotchkiss, but I thought that you would like to know that I found the identity of the stalker."
"That's great, but its a mute point its over," said Gwen trying not to think about what else might be over.
"Not quite. Hold on to your hat Ms. Hotchkiss, but your boyfriend's stalker is none other than our mutual friend Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald sans wig and ugly glasses.
Gwen could hardly believe her ears. She turned around to look at Ethan. Thank God, she thought. Her prayers had been answered."
