(In this story, Frank hasn't found out that Theresa is the "stalker."
Theresa doesn't quit her job after having her heart broken by what she
hears in Ethan's room. She only tells Ivy that she isn't feeling well and
has to go home. There she rights a letter for Ethan. She returns to Crane
Mansion to deliver the letter.)
Ivy: Oh! Theresa! You're back! You were so distraught earlier. I hope everything is all right.
Theresa: Yes it is. Thank you Mrs. Crane. But…um…I don't think I can work for you any longer.
Ivy: Theresa! What's wrong. Has anyone done anything to you. I don't understand. I thought you enjoyed the job.
Theresa: Oh yes! Mrs. Crane, I love it. It's just that there is so much more to it. I wish I could explain.
Ivy: Then please do. You are perfect for this job.
Theresa: Maybe your son can. Not now. But after he reads this letter. Could you please give it to him for me.
Ivy: Yes of course. I don't understand though.
Theresa: Of course not. But you will. I just want to tell you that I have no bad feelings for your family and that I have only the utmost admiration for you, Mrs. Crane.
Ivy: You've only given me that impression Theresa. I wouldn't doubt it.
Theresa: For some reason I think that might be changed but I still promise you that it's the truth. But I have to be going. Thank you, Mrs. Crane. It has been wonderful working for you.
Ivy: It's been a pleasure having you, Theresa. But are you sure there isn't anything I could do to make you stay?
Theresa: No, I'm sorry. Good-bye.
Ivy: Good-bye then.

Ethan: Gwen, what's this about you going out of town?
Gwen: Yeah I know. It's horrible. My mother insists I go to this stupid charity function with her. Of course, I'd love you to come with me.
Ethan: Normally, I would love to. But right now isn't the best time.
Gwen: Why! Because of "Theresa?" Is she enough woman for you to handle?
Ethan: Gwen! I can't believe you're jealous of her! But I can assure you that's not the reason at all. I can't go because I'm trying to help Sheridan find out about her past. I can't leave before we even get started.
Gwen: Of course you can't. I'm sorry Ethan!
Ethan: I know Gwen. You just go and have a good time.
Gwen: Ok, but I can't. Not without you.
Ethan: Yeah well I want you to have fun. But not too much.
Gwen: Yeah. You too. As long as it doesn't involve Theresa Lopez Fitzgerald. Or any other woman for that matter.
Ethan: I promise.
Gwen leaves just as Ivy gets to Ethan's door.
Ethan: Mom! What's wrong? You look upset.
Ivy: Well, I'm just a little confused. This might help clear things up. But it's for you. Theresa gave it to me.
Ethan: Theresa gave this to you to give to me?
Ivy: Yes, right after she quit.
Ethan: She quit! But why?
Ivy: I don't know but she said that letter might explain it. I'll let you read it on your own. But tell me once you're done.
Ethan: Ok, Mother.
Ivy leaves the room.
Ethan: I wonder what this is all about…
Ethan remembers looking into Theresa's eyes.
Ethan: There's something about her eyes! Maybe this'll clear it up.
Ethan opens the envelope and pulls the letter out.
